Abstract: As the founder of Chinese modern library science and librarianship, Yang Zhaozhe＇s early library activities are very important documents and historical materials. This paper tries to bring to light Yang Zhaozhe＇s translation of Library Science Guide, make~ a study of his consciousness in composing Library Science and its impact, comments on his report and introduction of Japan libraries made on his way to the United States.
