Abstract: In the development of library science in China,we have learned a lot of advanced experience from abroad.Learning the research results of foreign library science,combined with the local characteristics in the development of Chinese libraries,can promote the development of library science in China.The article briefly analyzes research topics and hot issues in foreign library science,elicits some problems in the process of localization of foreign library science,and proposes strategies and methods for Chinese libraries to learn from foreign libraries，in order to provide some reference for the development of Library Science in China.
