Abstract: Literature retrieval course today is a course of information literacy education in order to improve the students＇ information consciousness and retrieval ability.Almost universities in China offer literature retrieval course.This paper analyses the necessity and feasibility of offering literature retrieval course in independent colleges by taking Science and Technology College of Nanchang University as an example.
