Buddhism in the Complete Bibliographies of the Siku Quanshu

Abstract: This article addresses the Buddhist monks and sutras included in theComplete?Bibliographies?of?the?Siku?Quianshu, the version of which used is the that of the Wuying Mansion. There are 274 monks in the version, and among them the Song Dynasty monks, totally 72, are the majority. Most of the texts by them, including 185 books and 17 essays, go to the Collection of literary works, and next to books in this Collection are those belonging to the Collection of Philosophical works. In addition to understanding Buddhist sutras, this article also makes contribution to the studies of theSiku?Quanshu, religion, and intellectual history of the Qing Dynasty.
