摘要： 回顾了图书馆、特别是公共图书馆在不同发展阶段的教育职能的特点和变化,提出在学习型社会中公共图书馆应发挥优势,建设成为教育资源保障中心、继续教育培训中心和休闲文化引导中心.

Abstract: This article reviews the change about the education function of library, especially the public library, and ponders on how the public library exerts its educational function to the people in the “study society”. On the author＇s opinion the public library should be the center of the educational material preservation, education training and culture leading.
