摘要： 阐述了索引的概念与功能，详细介绍了现代索引的类型，并指出我国索引业已形成以网上文献数据库为主的传统索引、网上文献数据库和网络信息检索工具为主的新格局。

Abstract: This paper elaborates the concepts and functions of index,introduces the types of modem indexes.and points out that the new pattern of traditional indexes,web-based literature databases,network information retrieval tools are the main types of modem indexes in China.
