Abstract: As a new kind mode of book acquisition, patron-driven acquisition（PDA） has been widely applied in the collec- ton development（especially of e-books）of university libraries in USA. This paper analyses the process and ad- vantage of PAD, discusses the tactics to successfully implement PDA model in public libraries.
