Abstract: This paper surveys the current situation of real-time consulting services in university libraries, points out that Meebo which is stable and popular can solve the problem existing in real-time reference. Based on the introduction of the function and characteristics of Meebo, taking the real-time consultation of Nanjing university hbrary as an example,it explains that Meebo Me is very suitable for library to construct the real-time reference system.
