Abstract: The construction of information commons has been developed in university libraries at home and abroad.Because of the high construction costs,public libraries of China have not builded information commons.This paper analyses the construction modes of information commons,and puts forward the construction approaches of information commons in public libraries of China in order to adapt to information demands of readers under free and opening environment.
