Abstract: Based on the surveys of the status quo of the publications of 29 university libraries in China,this paper analyses the type,the reader, the layout and the edit of the publications of university libraries,and finds that communication publication is the mainly kind of existing publications of university libraries.In order to improve the quality of publications of university libraries and to raise the library service level,the paper makes some recommendations on the edit work of library publications,and advocates more attention to the development of learning publications and subject publications of university libraries.
