On Leisure Function of Library from Maslow's Need Hierarchy Theory

Abstract: The Leisure is for thinking, purifying and profoundly rethinking life's value, meaning and how to "become human"; and for higher layer satisfaction and development of human native. The leisure entails self-transcendence, which we would comprehend by putting it into Maslow's need hierarchy theory, which holds that person does not feel the upper layer need until the physiological needs have been satisfied. Human leisure is born with its needs,, from public culture perspective, the leisure reflects person's essence, value and purpose of life. The leisure function of library is now entering people' s vision gradually, and highlighting its strong vitality and age characteristic.
