Abstract: This paper discusses the differences in using academic libraries between students and faculties,introduces the undergraduate students ＇information-seeking behavior,the roles of reference librarians and reference services.In order to develop the reference services towards students,this article proposes that users＇education should be strengthened in academic libraries in China,the undergraduate students are employed in academic libraries as the reference workers;librarians should change their professional roles,enhance their teaching skills and strengthen the cooperation of colleagues.
