Research on the Readers’ Behavior of Self-study in Library Based on the Seating Management System Data

Abstract:

In recent years, the seating management system has been introduced in the university library for prevent seat occupying behavior, But how to apply the research based on the seating management system data is still blank. This paper analyzes the readers’ behavior of self-study in library from six aspects, including the preference for choice of study room's location, the preference for seat selection, the preference for seat release, self-study time, abnormal cases, interview, and puts forward some feasibility advices from the construction of self-studying room and the design of seating management system of study room.
