Abstract: The article introduces Google library program and the reasons why Google chooses to partner with libraries, analyses the reasons why publishers and authors oppose Google and discusses the influences of Google hbrary program on libraries. The article points out that the library profession should cooperate with Google to promote the aim of universal access to information.
