Abstract:

There are various annotations and commentaries of Tai Xuan written by Yang Xiong since the Han dynasty,of which the variorum edition by Sima Guang was the most popular. The National Library collected a manuscript of Jizhu Taixuanjing by Sima Guang as a manuscript dating from the Ming dynasty, which never be found in ancient bibliographies. It should be the manuscript dating from the Song dynasty recorded in many bibliographies. It is conserved appropriately in the National Library after hundreds of years'transmission, and it is feasible to detect whether the antique manuscript be copied in the Ming dynasty or the Song dynasty.

Key words: Jizhu Taixuanjing, Yang Xiong, Sima Guang
