Abstract: “Design thinking”is a comprehensive and innovative way of thinking，which has helped foreign public libraries achieve remarkable results in many fields such as construction of library buildings and service innovation.By referring to the 5W1H analysis method，this paper analyzes the localization of“design thinking”in China's public libraries from the perspectives of connotation，necessity，environment，opportunity，subject and object，and strategy.
