Abstract: The network resource sharing has brought about great convenience to the researching and teaching staff, thus ,the data quality of the book cataloguing is even more important.This paper lists and analyzes some factors that affect the data quality in retrospective bibiography of western language books：the quality of staff, cataloguing rules,and supervision mechanism of work,ere,and disscusses some problems in controlling the data quality.
