Abstract: At present, Chinese higher learning institutions generally attach great importance to international communication and cooperation. With it, they make great efforts to develop educational undertakings for the international students in China. So, more and more international students come to the libraries for references and information. This article approaches the problems of serving for them from the aspects of the necessity for the librarians to pay special attention to the international students in China, the characteristics of the international students in China and the professional requirements of librarians, etc.
