Abstract: On the basis ot comparing with other literature retrieval teaching material,this paper analyses the characteristics of A Course in Literature Retrieval：the preciseness of expatiating theory, the propriety of selecting content, the aptness of arranging material, the novelty of transmitting information, the naturalness of style, also points the deficiency of this teaching material.
