Abstract: The interact changes the ways for people to obtain information and read books and periodicals.The library which collects, stores up,sorts out and spreads documents,must adapt the age development and put forward new services mode to meet the reader＇s information demands.By analysing the information services practice of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics,The Chinese Academy Sciences, this paper points out the new variety of information services of library in scientific research institution under the network environment：the ability to absorb information,the ability to handle information and the ability to transform information are enhanced.
