Abstract: University library,which is called the university information center,teachers and laboratory equipment are known as the three pillars of university.But in reality,the professional status of university librarian is generally in low position.This paper diseusses the professional status of university librarian from social level,librarian individual level and library level,and puts forward some ways to improve the professional status of university librarian by estabishing library professional qualification certification system, providing high-level,multi-functional serviee,strengthening management and paying attention to the creation of the professional image of librian.
