Abstract: There are unique talents training systems in application-oriented undergraduate university. A survey of literature retrieval course teaching of 30 appllcatlon-orlented undergraduate universities in eastern, central, western of China shows that the literature retrieval course teaching at present in applicatlon-oHented undergraduate uni- versifies can not meet the target requirements of the training of applied undergraduate talents. This paper con- siders that the literature retrieval course teaching in application-orlented undergraduate universities should innovate to adapt to the teaching objectives from the education system, teaching materials and teaching methods, etc.
