Abstract: The construction of characteristic collection is the basic guarantee for realizing information resources sharing and developing characteristic service.This paper elaborates the necessity of the construction of characteristic collection in library,analyses the problems in the construction of characteristic collection in university library,and gives some ways and means to develop characteristic collections in university library.
