Abstract: English literature is the key collection in many libraries.Complete classification system of english literature contributes to the correct classification of the literature.This paper analyzes the revision situation and revision changes about H31 english category of Chinese Library Classification（5th Edition）.Combined with the classification system of H31 category and practical work experience,it points the still existing probl ems and puts forward the future revision advices.
