Abstract: Proceeding from the core value of library,this paper analyses the pros and cons of outsourcing of circulation business,puts forward that reader service work is an important component of library core value,circulation service work is the main form of reader service work which embodies the core value of library.Although circulation outsourcing can solve the difficulties of the lack of staff as well as improve work efficiency,there are a variety of drawbacks that hinder the library core value being fully realized in circulation service work.Library circulation outsourcing does more harm than good,which is not the development direction of library.
