Abstract:

This paper makes an investigation on copyright notice of 115 “Project 211” university libraries’ websites, and found that 70 libraries (about 61 percent) have made copyright notice. The existing main problems are: protection awareness of intellectual property rights is not strong, copyright notice category name is not standard, category visibility is not high, and the content of copyright notice is not as much. Comparing with the copyright notice of foreign university libraries, there is a great gap in consciousness, content, convenience and comprehensiveness. Based on the above analysis, this paper puts forward to some suggestions: play the role of Library Association and alliance, making templates of copyright notice; make standards of copyright notice content through national legislation; strengthen the library copyright protection from the technical means; strengthen the publicity and training of library copyright.
