Abstract:

By investigating 11 kinds of most representative music academic journals in China, this paper finds a lot of indexing problems, such as the lacking in unified classification standard,the incomplete indexing, error indexing, insufficient indexing depth. Based on the analysis of the cause, it puts forward some proposals of improving the indexing quality. For example, revising rules of journal arrangement, taking into account special requirements of musical literature cataloguing, strengthening training of journal classification and indexing editors and carrying out professional cooperation between multi-departments.
