Research on Reading Promotion of the Library Based on Social Media

Abstract:

The mobile internet has changed people's work and life style, which makes communication more convenient between people. Social medias, such as blogs and WeChat, are developing rapidly, which create new reading promoting services for libraries. Social medias with its characteristics of participation and interactivity, expand the audience of the reading promotion, are conducive to the propaganda and the use of library resources and services, stimulate users to participate in the reading promotion initiatively, reduce the cost of reading promotion service. The library should strengthen the service concept of “user centric” mine the user’s information needs, clear social media functions, intensify propaganda, improve the social media platform influence and service efficiency from the user’s satisfaction, experience, participation and service propaganda, in order to enhance the service quality of the library reading promotion.
