Research on the Content and Framework of Data Literacy Education of Library and Information Science in China

Abstract: Under the background of big data,the research of data literacy education mostly stays at the level of theoretical research.Facing the rise of big data and data intensive science,the content and form of data literacy education in library and information science need to be further studied.Based on the analysis of the necessity of data literacy education in library and information science,this paper combines the specialty of library and information science and constructs data literacy education system for library and information science major from aspects of education content and education framework.The data literacy education model of library and information science includes general education,professional education,online education and embedded education.The content of education should be combined with the data life cycle to form a modular teaching unit,and cooperate with libraries and other institutions to carry out multi-directional and multi-level data literacy education.
