Abstract:

The edition item is the second item in book catalog, whose description content is of vital importance to document choice of the reader. RDA is the newest international catalog rule. Compared with the present catalog rule at home, it changes a lot in edition description. This paper analyses and discusses some new characteristics of RDA in detail combining with domestic catalog rules.
