Abstract:

This paper analyses the connotation and the method of library economic value evaluation, constructs a research framework of public library economic value evaluation, discusses the factor in the model mechanism in detail. Based on this, taking Henan Provincial Library as the research object, it evaluates Henan Provincial Library economic value with using consumer surplus, the contingent valuation method to obtain the benefit cost ratio of 1.449∶1, which can provide an important reference for decision-making, provide a new thinking and method for the research of sustainable development of the economic value of public libraries. Finally, it puts forward policy recommendations.
