Abstract: The great changes of cataloging work in library has occurred facing the network development,catalogue simplification is one of these changes.This article briefly elaborates the necessity of catalogue simplification,introduces the development of catalogue simplification abroad and some related catalogue principles and rules.Finally,the author also gives some views on catalogue simplification in China.
