Abstract: Reading is an important way of learning knowledge, developing intelligence and training comprehensive quality for the individual. And reading promotion activity is university libraries＇ inescapable duty. However, there are some problems exist in college reading promotion activities, such as lacking of long-term plan, lacking of advanced idea, lacking of host organization and lacking of effective evaluation mechanism and so on. So university libraries should establish a longer-term mechanism of reading promotion activity which including with a perfect security system, a scientific theory support system and a diverse scientific guiding system.
