Abstract:

Some problems exist in academic libraries preliminary education, including educational content for poor target, monotonous form of education and the lack of continuity of educational mechanism. The main cause of the problems is that the educational target is not adapted to the freshman’s development needs. Educational target should be pertinence and prospective. It should be centered on the freshman’s development, oriented to “Search Quotient" goal. It is specifically three aspects, which is to cultivate resources awareness, to cultivate instrumental awareness and to cultivate network awareness. Beyond the common lectures, it should be full use of information technology and new media to change education from the short-term, simple and unattractive model to a kind of self-study, interactive and long-term model through the simulation exercise, micro lesson and self-rating.
