Abstract:

The classics reading promotion has become a hot topic in the library community. By understanding the current situation of classical reading promotion both in China and abroad , the paper thus analyzes the reading promotion pattern of Sun Yet-sen University Library, and finally puts forward some suggestions of building a classical reading system for university library, such as strengthening propaganda, providing comprehensive guidance for readers, understanding the need of readers and guaranteeing resource, paying attention to readers’ psychology and creating a comfortable space for them, constructing reading system with the help of the social resources and the use of the self media and so on.
