Abstract: This article analyzes the characteristics of the Republic of China periodicals,including the paper,the binding and the damage status,through the two conservation cases ofThe University of Nanking Magazine?in different binding forms in the collection of Nanjing University Library. Based on the two cases, the formulation of the restoration plan,the selection of restoration methods and the specific restoration steps used in conservation of the Republic of China periodicals are introduced.The preliminary discussions on the conservation concept of the Republic of China document are given through the summarization of the conservation of the Republic of China periodicals.
