Abstract: The library local characteristic resource database is the library repository which is established based on the feature of economic，cultural，history and locality of a region．The co－construction and sharing of local characteristic resources is an important measure to speed up the development of the library cause．Taking Jiangxi Provincial Library as an example，this paper analyses the present situation and the existing problem of the construction of local characteristic resources databases in Jiangxi Provincial Library，puts forward strategies for the co－construction and sharing of local characteristic resources in public libraries based on the construction system and software application of local characteristic resources databases．
