The survey result shows that vast majority of 219 journals are not OA journals in the OSD and DOAJ. But,in the SDOL database, lots of journals of the materials science are OA journals, providing full texts of OA journals is not much.In this paper, 219 materials science journals are divided into OA journals, part of OA journals and non OA journals, a comparative study of 219 journals qualities is made. Authors think that OA journals from materials science journals are not so large in number, the development of OA journals in materials science journals need be further promoted in academic circles.
