On Reading Promotion Services for Children in Poor Rural Areas:Taking the Mountain Area of North Guangdong as an Example

Abstract: Children's reading education is of great significance to their individual and social development. By means of social investigation, this paper investigates the reading status of rural children in mountainous areas of northern Guangdong Province, summarizes existing problems that lack of reading environment facilities, lack of reading resources and backward reading consciousness of children's reading in mountainous areas of northern Guangdong, and puts forward the suggestions to promote children's reading status quo in poverty-stricken mountainous areas, such as increasing investment in funds, helping to realize resource sharing, perfecting the management system of education departments, strengthening family cultivation function, and connecting social forces to cooperate etc.
