On the Road: Discuss on the Newly-build Universities' Library Reading Promotion Work

Abstract:

It is necessary to carry out reading promotion for overcoming the newly-build universities regional disadvantages, improving the reading situation and realizing transformation of library. However, in the process of reading promotion, there exist some problems such as not enough attention to ideological, the poor reading atmosphere, little understanding about the reader's demands, etc. The newly-build universities should establish the reading promotion mechanism, introduce the service concept of the service industry, change the situation of "auxiliary" rather than "teaching", strengthen the interaction between the library and readership, and pay attention to the detail of reading promotion innovation.
