Abstract: The paper summarizes the research evolution path of service for migrant workers by public libraries in China.It is found that questionnaire survey is the main research method in this research field,and the research objects are gradually subdivided.The research content mainly through investigating and analyzing migrant workers’demand and the present situation of utilization of the library,the service status of library services,and then puts forward some specific measures for the service.With the increase of the number of returning migrant workers,the contradiction between the supply of services by public library and the demand of returning migrant workers may become more prominent,and the research of services for returning migrant workers by public libraries may become a research trend.Researchers should try to innovate research methods,deepen research design,and refine research content,so as to continue to study how to better provide practical services for migrant workers.
