Abstract:

The author makes a research on the websites including Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province,21 public libraries in prefectural-level cities and 36 university libraries, It is concluded that the construction of local literature databases in Guangdong has not been yet attracted adequate attention by local governments and libraries ; It lacks overall planning and uniform standards. According to the existing problems, the following solutions are proposed: to win the support of local government; to establish a fund of local literature database; to establish a standard for local literature database of Guangdong Province to standardize it; to establish a special department for local literature to strengthen the construction of local literature ; to build collaboration sties of local literature for the co-construction and sharing of local literature in Guangdong Province.
