摘要： 在明确和谐社会的定义与意义的基础上,重点论述了图书馆在和谐社会文化建设中的作用和功能,并对新时期图书馆如何更好地为和谐社会文化建设服务提出了作者的看法.

Abstract: Through the exposition of the definition and meaning of the harmonious society, the article describes the role and function of the library in cultural construction of harmonious society especially, and puts forward anthor＇s view for .how library can serve the culture construction of harmonious society better in new period.
