Research on ARCS Motive Mode Application in Special Children Service of the Public Library

Abstract: Along with the continuous improvement of the public library service system, a lot of public libraries have developed services for special children, but for the particularity of this group, a lot of deficiencies and lack of theoretical guidance in this kind of service are existed. The introduction of ARCS motivation model for education system into special children service is not only an innovation but also a bold attempt for public libraries.In this paper, four elements of ARCS motivation mode are made a detailed analysis and corresponded with the practical work for the special children's services. It is hoped that it will bring a new atmosphere to the special children service in public libraries.
