Abstract: Through this research, we can understand the application of webcasting in the reading service of provincial public libraries in China.Taking the two camps of reading service of provincial public libraries in China,Sina Weibo and WeChat as examples,this paper investigated the live broadcast of the provincial public library Weibo and WeChat,and then concluded that there are three problems in the reading service of the provincial public library in China according to the relevant situation: the number and content of the live webcast need to be improved, lack of humanistic care for vulnerable groups and reader feedback mechanism. Finally, the development countermeasures of the future must be borrowed from the innovative webcasting mode and content, enhancing the humane care of the disadvantaged groups, and establish an effective reader feedback mechanism.
